Julie Paulson specializes in late medieval English literature and disability studies. Her courses include Myth, Literature, and Adaptation; Women Writers and Social Change; Chaucer’s Women: and Medieval Rebel Writing. Her research explores shifting conceptions of the mind and personhood across the past 700 years. She is the author of Theater of the Word: The English Morality Play (Notre Dame, 2019) and is currently at work on a new book titled College Material: Intellectual Disability in the University. In addition to teaching for the English Department, Professor Paulson is a co-founder of the Inclusion Pilot for Students with Intellectual and Developmental disabilities and is the Paul K. Longmore Faculty Director of Disability Studies.
